We, the commanders and soldiers of Battalion 1871, are proud to take part in the founding of a new battalion in the IDF, as part of the “Yehonatan” Brigade under the 96th Division, following the events of October 7th and the ongoing war.

 

Battalion 1871 is an operational infantry reserve, established largely on volunteer fighters returning to significant combat service in the IDF, to help and protect the state of Israel and its citizens. The battalion is due to operate in various border sectors, as dictated by the IDF operational needs. The battalion will also be on call to provide rapid lethal response to any threat in the Emek-Hefer area.

We are working to build the best infantry battalion, for the security of the State of Israel, and the region in which we live.
 

As part of establishing the strength and capabilities of the battalion, we ask you - supporters in Israel and abroad - to take part in strengthening the battalion and our capabilities, and reinforcing the spirit that pulses in every IDF Unit!
